Taking responsibilty

            Why if a person is so proud of their ideals do they often hide behind a mask  to hide their identity. Doesn't a mask used to hide, show more of a tendency to anarchy rather then  of true conviction  for a cause and not accepting the responsibility for those ideals,but only to conceal mischief and not standing up and being counted?  Keywords; Philosophy.
