Dues

       Why can't Americans with their great compassion for others vote for the return of a time of service toward our social benefit and have a required period of time to participate in the betterment of our way of life. It could be to join the peace corp, an alternative help project, community service, or disaster relieve etc. Wouldn't this help deter some person to person crime at least and increase community and/or public interest in responsibility for ones actions and help people as a collective learn that to help your fellow man is more rewarding and useful then taking advantage of him or her.
